What is your "thing"?

You know that thing that pulls on your heart strings and always pops up in the back of your head. That thing you know is perfectly wound into the grand picture of your life but you're not quite sure when it's meant to be or how to make it happen. 

Well friend, I don't believe that these pulls in our hearts are coincidences or figments of our imaginations. I believe that God has created us with specific gifts and talents and pre-ordained plans that are set to go off without a hitch when the time is right and the scene it set. 

My "thing" is writing, and so naturally I've avoided it like the plauge. It turns out running from your calling is much more tiring than embracing it, and so here I am at the mercy of the Grand Author who equips me at a time where I feel like all the worldly advice has failed me. I have a passion for words, but more specifically words that breathe life. We live in a world where words are used to hurt and divide and I believe we have the power to change the plot and spread encouragement like wild fire. 

For so long I've been told to start a blog. But, for even longer than that the Devil has told me that I am not worthy of an audience and I do not have the credentials to have any sort of platform. I have believed the lies that my words aren't put together enough, with my mom brain constantly in gear, and that I'm way too young to be able to reach people with inspiration that is hot off the press in my crazy, transitional, beautiful life. 

But here's the thing, no matter how loud the voices of the enemy speak into your life, the voice of God is always ready to SPEAK truth into your story. I feel such an urgency to share different vantage points that realign our wandering hearts and help bring excitement and life back into the mundane. I believe we all have a story and I believe we all have a voice. 

We all have that "thing" and I am willing to put myself out there to be an encouragement to even one person. To tell you that you're not alone, you're enough, and that the lies this world feeds you have no place In the great and GRAND calling that has been placed on your life. When you begin to walk in the freedom of the gifts you've been given, your heart will start to come alive, too! 

So join me on my journey and start yours too. Let's walk hand and hand and experience life from a new lens. Where the loud voices of worldly expectations become quiet whispers as we pursue the path that was purposely and inentionaly planed for our feet to follow. You ARE equipped just as you are!
